CPO Accreditation™ by The Organising Academy is a professional recognition designed for experienced Professional Organisers who are committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethical practice, and service delivery within the organising industry. Accreditation is awarded upon successful completion of the application process and assessment approval by The Organising Academy.

Application & Access
Access to the CPO Accreditation™ application is provided upon purchase.
Applicants must:

Complete and submit all required information in full

Provide accurate, truthful, and current details

Submit all requested documentation to support their application
Failure to provide complete or accurate information may result in delays, rejection, or withdrawal of accreditation.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for CPO Accreditation™, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements at the time of application:

Valid Business Registration
Hold a current and active Australian Business Number (ABN) registered in the applicant’s name or business entity. -
Public Liability Insurance
Maintain valid and current Public Liability Insurance appropriate to the services provided. -
Active Business Operations
Be actively operating a legitimate professional organising business, offering services to clients. -
Professional Conduct and Standards
Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional conduct, ethical business practices, and service delivery aligned with industry expectations. -
Accurate and Truthful Representation
Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information throughout the application process, including any supporting documentation requested.

Assessment Process
All applications are reviewed internally by The Organising Academy.

Additional information or clarification may be requested during the review process

Submission of an application does not guarantee approval
All decisions made by The Organising Academy are final.

Accreditation Terms

Accreditation remains valid unless revoked due to breach of terms

Use of CPO Accreditation™ Assets

What You Receive
Upon successful approval, accredited individuals will be provided with official CPO Accreditation™ Assets, which may include:

A personalised Digital Certificate of Accreditation.
The Organising Academy may:
- Assign a unique CPO Verification Number to each accredited individual
- Publish accredited individuals on official platforms, including the Find An Organiser Directory
- Display accreditation status publicly for verification purposes
- Accredited individuals consent to this publication.

Official CPO Accreditation™ Badges (various formats and sizes)

Supporting brand assets and usage guidelines
-
Inclusive of further advertising and promotional advantage such as future magazine editorials, homepage advertising on the Find An Organiser Directory, Social Media advertising at the discretion of The Organising Academy.
These assets are issued exclusively by The Organising Academy and remain its intellectual property.

Permitted Use
Accredited individuals are granted a non-transferable, limited licence to use CPO assets for the purpose of promoting their accredited status.
CPO assets may be used across:

Marketing materials (digital and print)

Client communications
All usage must accurately represent current accreditation status.

Usage Guidelines
To maintain brand integrity and consistency, accredited individuals must:

Use only the official assets provided by The Organising Academy

Ensure assets are not altered, edited, distorted, or recreated

Display assets in a professional and respectful manner

Avoid any misleading claims regarding scope, qualifications, or endorsement

Use of CPO Title
The title CPO Accredited Professional Organiser™ must only be used:

By individuals who hold current accreditation

In accordance with these Terms
Unauthorised use may result in legal action.

Representation of Accreditation
Accredited individuals must not:

Overstate the scope of CPO Accreditation™

Represent it as a government licence or formal qualification

Make claims beyond what the accreditation represents

CPO Accreditation™ represents professional recognition — not a licence, guarantee, or regulatory certification.
​
Restrictions
CPO assets must not be:

Shared, transferred, or used by any third party
-
Used after accreditation has lapsed, been revoked, or withdrawn
-
Applied in a way that misrepresents affiliation or endorsement
-
Modified in colour, proportion, wording, or design
Unauthorised use may result in removal of accreditation and further action.

Revocation of Use
The Organising Academy reserves the right to revoke the use of CPO assets at any time if:

Terms and conditions are breached

Misuse or misrepresentation occurs

Accreditation is suspended or cancelled
Upon revocation, all use of CPO assets must cease immediately.

Platform Use
Where accreditation is displayed on associated platforms (including Find An Organiser), The Organising Academy does not guarantee:

Enquiry volume

Lead generation
-
Business outcomes

Intellectual Property
All CPO assets, including certificates, badges, and associated branding, remain the sole property of The Organising Academy and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Your CPO badge is a mark of trust — use it consistently, professionally, and proudly across every client touchpoint.

Pricing for Accreditation is subject to change at any time without notice

All fees are payable upfront at the time of purchase

All payments are non-refundable once accreditation has been granted

Individual Responsibility
Accreditation is granted to individuals only. Each accredited individual is solely responsible for:

CPO Accreditation™ – Subcontractor & Individual Accreditation Terms
1. Individual Accreditation Requirement
CPO Accreditation™ is awarded per individual, not per business, company, or brand.
Each Accredited Professional Organiser must apply and be assessed independently.
2. Non-Transferability
CPO Accreditation™ is non-transferable and may not be shared, assigned, or extended to any other individual, including team members, employees, or subcontractors.
3. Use of Accreditation by Businesses
A business may promote that it has a CPO Accredited Professional Organiser within its team; however:

The accreditation applies only to the named individual

It does not imply that all team members are accredited
-
All marketing must clearly reflect this distinction
4. Subcontractors & Team Members
Any subcontractor, contractor, or team member operating under a business must obtain their own CPO Accreditation™ to:

Represent themselves as CPO Accredited

Use the CPO badge or title
-
Be promoted as an Accredited Professional Organiser
Subcontractors without individual accreditation must not:

Use the CPO title or badge
-
Be implied or presented as accredited in any capacity
5. Misrepresentation
Any misuse, misrepresentation, or unauthorised use of the CPO Accreditation™, including by subcontractors or businesses, may result in:

Immediate revocation of accreditation

Removal from The Organising Academy directory and platforms
-
Suspension of associated benefits or recognition
6. Verification & Public Representation
Each Accredited Professional Organiser will receive:

A unique CPO Verification Reference
-
Individual certification documentation
Clients and the public are encouraged to verify accreditation status via official channels.

Professional Responsibility
Accredited individuals are expected to:

Uphold high standards of professionalism and integrity

Operate within their capabilities and qualifications

Maintain client confidentiality and ethical business practices
Failure to meet these expectations may result in suspension or removal of accreditation.

Limitation of Liability
Accreditation is a recognition of professional standards based on the information provided at the time of application.
The Organising Academy:

Does not guarantee business success, client acquisition, or financial outcomes

Is not liable for how accreditation is used in marketing or representation

Reserves the right to amend criteria, processes, and policies at any time

Independant Australian Accreditation Framework
CPO Accreditation™ is an independent professional recognition program developed and issued by The Organising Academy in Australia. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any international organisations, including any overseas certification bodies. This accreditation applies within Australia only.
No Regulatory Authority
CPO Accreditation™ is a professional recognition issued by The Organising Academy Australia. It is not a government-issued licence, certification, or regulatory approval, and does not replace or override any applicable Australian laws, licensing requirements, or regulatory obligations. Accredited individuals remain solely responsible for complying with all relevant Commonwealth, State, and Territory laws.

No Guarantee of Outcomes
Accreditation recognises professional standards based on information provided at the time of application.
The Organising Academy makes no representations or guarantees regarding:

Business performance or financial outcomes

Client acquisition or retention

Service results or outcomes delivered by accredited individuals
All services are provided independently by the accredited professional.

No Endorsement of Services
Accreditation does not constitute:

An endorsement of any individual’s services

A guarantee of quality, outcomes, or performance
Clients engage accredited individuals at their own discretion.

Independent Contractors
All Accredited individuals operate as independent businesses.
The Organising Academy:

Does not employ, manage, or supervise accredited individuals

Is not responsible for the services provided by any accredited individual
-
Does not act as an agent, partner, or representative of any accredited business
Any engagement between a client and an Organiser is solely between those parties.

Consumer Law Compliance (Australia)
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or applicable Australian Consumer Law.To the extent permitted by law, The Organising Academy’s liability is limited to the maximum extent allowable under Australian law.​

Indemnity
By applying for and maintaining CPO Accreditation™, the applicant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Organising Academy, its directors, officers, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:

Their business activities

Any breach of these Terms​

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Any disputes arising in connection with CPO Accreditation™ will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
